Professional Development Plan
STATEMENT OF PERSONAL PHILOSOPHY OF EDUCATION
I believe in an educational system where every student is treated with respect and love. Classrooms have to be bright and attractive places where learning is promoted. I also believe in a system where education is based on innovation, creativity, imagination and hands-on activities. Given the opportunity, students will engage in the learning process on their own. They will find the process of learning, reading and investigation attractive. As a result they will learn more and become more independent.
Strengths
Organized: I am hard working and I love to be so. Every tool, equipment and supply has to be organized. By doing so, it makes it easier to work faster, with more enthusiasm and efficiency. I have worked in schools where I decided to spend many days organizing the classrooms before class starts. This helps me to complete all my tasks without compromising quality.
Motivated: I love the process of teaching and learning. I am always willing to learn about new things. I am very persistent even if what I am doing is very difficult for me.
Respectful: I listen to people and students when they communicate with me. I try my best to have a true understanding of another person’s point of view. Even if I disagree I put emphasis on responding appropriately to other people.
Interests
Music: For me music is a connection with my inner self. Music is part of my everyday life. I studied music for many years. I like many kinds of music and rhythms. I like also incorporating many activities with music in the classrooms. Music enhances the learning experience.
Technology: This area changes so rapidly that there is a lot of information to read every day. I find it very interesting to see how people create amazing artifacts to solve problems that they encounter in their own societies.
Values
Family: This is the most important component and meaningful aspect in my life. My family is everything to me. It is my family that inspires me greatly. I have all the enthusiasm and willingness to do anything in life, regardless of how difficult it could be.
Education: With education we are able to accomplish many things in life. This includes economical stability, status, and personal growth. All that we know accompanies us wherever we go.
Areas of Potential Growth
Continue improving all my teaching skills: I love learning and I want to enhance my teaching knowledge. I want to learn something new about technology, teaching, special education, psychology and more every day. I regularly participate in webinars, conversations, workshops, meetings, and any other events where I can learn, share and improve. Students have different ways of thinking and learning; I want to be a very efficient teacher and give them all the attention, knowledge, support and care that they might need.
Becoming a motivational speaker for students: I would like to work with students who lack motivation or have problems in their homes. I would like to learn adequate tools that will allow me to be a good motivational speaker. I would give students advice, feedback and support.
